Tom Chevis
Tom Chevis has worked with campus ministry (UCCF) for many years, teaching and training students. He has had a particular emphasis on music and musicians. As his time has come to an end with UCCF, he has felt a call to explore pastoral ministry.
Provision of the Lord
To make this internship possible for a church plant, we rely on outside funding. To date, the Lord has provided a stipend of £10,500 per year from the Westminster Seminary (UK) and Tom has raised over £10,000 from personal donours. That leaves the church with the need of around £12,500 (approximately $17,000) to raise.
Ministry Intern
Serving with our church would allow Tom to explore the call to pastoral ministry with regular preaching, pastoral councelling, and all the ins and outs of the potential work he would be doing as an ordained minister.
In addition to that three days a week would be spend studying for a Masters of Divinity through Westminster UK (which has recently relocated to Oxford making this another great provision of the Lord)!
How to Support
This is a wonderful opportunity in the life of a church plant as well as for the wider church in the UK. The strength of any denomination is in part measured by the men in training and for us at Gloucester have known Tom for many years and are encouraged by what the Lord is doing as he builds up his church.
